Recently, the Delta-9 alchemy team (Comprised of Otto Karpf, Ludwig Kaczynski, "Clementine", Sarah Rothenberg.) made a discovery of a so called "Dromen Domain", of which was discovered an identity known as "Zyzzyx" or "Petal".
Its blood was taken first by accident, after an unscheduled travel to said beings domain. Afterwards, members of the team felt extreme illness, as described in the website linked here.
After cleansing, Clementine considered the possibility of the blood, or the material the creature is made out of, having a property which could work as a fuel, a source of energy.
Thus, the project codenamed "Camp" started.
Camp was initially focused on the research of the material we now call "Source" (Typically stylized all lowercase, as "source".), which was first conducted by Clementine. They theorized that the blood was a potential mix of arsenic, Philosopher's Sulphur, lead, vitriol, and tartar. Thus, leading to the first test, purification.
The 3 primes, salt, Sulphur, and mercury, were applied, alongside crocus of iron and Agua Regia.
This led to the "purification of the blood, which inevitably resulted in a bright, cloudy substance called source. There may be a more reliable method for the production of source, but as of November 7th, this is the standard.
source was initially tested as a fuel, by creating perpertual motion machines which, under a typical physical scenario, would cause them to stop working.
Those machines have never stopped, nor do they show signs of warmth due to surface friction. This has shown that source could be a reliable fuel, maybe an infinite generator of energy at that, and that it has amazing capabilities when it comes to thermal insulation.
Afterwards, source was tested alongside Null (For reference on the Null, ask Melanie Monsanto for the book "The Null: Identifying Elemental Substances Contained Within The Void Of Alchemical Space.") via the codename "Magenta".
This led to the possibility to structure source, forming different shapes with the substance. This revelation, alongside project "Parnassus", would be useful for the development for a vessel of sorts, which could possibly contain the Goddess of Earth, Gaia.
source's effects on the human body are unknown, yet it has proven to be non-fatal.
